CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN

Certificate of origin is an document which establishes the origin of the goods which are exported .It is required by the importing country custom to determine tariff rates and also to avail any concessional import duty if applicable under Trade Agreement of two countries

There are two categories of Certificate of Origin – (1) Preferential (2) Non Preferential

The exporters can now generate Certificate of Origin through a single point access coo.dgft.gov.in
All agencies ,FTAs and all products Certificate of Origin can be generated online

Process of Application of Certificate of Origin –
 Separate Registration is required in case of issuance of COO
 Exporter must have the Digital Signature Certificate containing IEC available with them and install the DSC software in the system available in the digital key
 Enter the 10digit IEC code and click on fetch button
 Verify Mobile No and email id
 Once registered create login id and password

For application of COO ,following documents are required
1.Export Invoice
2.Shipping Bill
3.Packing List
4.Bill of Lading
5.Agency from whom certificate need to be issued
6. Trade Agreement, if any

Anybody can verify the certificate by entering the Certificate No in Verify Certificate in coo.dgft.gov.in
